Nmbrs introduces mandatory two-step verification
To ensure optimal protection of salary and HR data, two-step verification (2FA) will become mandatory for all Nmbrs users as of 1 July 2026. We previously went through this process with you to make the payroll environment more secure, but Nmbrs is now making it mandatory as well. Nmbrs is transitioning to Visma Connect as its new login and verification environment, providing additional security for your payroll administration.
Nmbrs processes sensitive data such as salary information, bank account numbers, and personal documents. Extra security when logging in is therefore essential.
Because we process your payroll administration in Nmbrs, we are informing you in preparation for 1 July 2026.
Nmbrs is switching to Visma Connect as its new login and verification environment. This offers:
As of 13 April 2026, you will automatically be asked to set up two-step verification via Visma Connect when logging in. Once this is completed, you will be able to continue logging in easily and securely. Two-step verification must be set up no later than 1 July 2026 in order to retain access to Nmbrs.
The easiest and fastest way to complete the two-step verification process is by doing this on a laptop.
This applies to all Nmbrs login accounts. Manager, employee, and user logins will all require two-step verification. It is therefore important that everyone creates a Visma Connect account in the coming months.
Are you already using Visma Connect with two-step verification? Then, as of 13 April 2026, a verification code will be requested by default when logging in. If you no longer have access to your authenticator app, you can easily request a recovery code to regain access and reset two-step verification.
During installation, you will receive an email from Visma (do.not.reply@mail.connect.visma.com). You can trust this email address. Please also check your spam folder if necessary.
Please make sure to inform your employees about this change so they are aware of what is coming. We will not do this on your behalf; however, we have prepared an email template (see below) for you. If they have any questions, please refer them to the step-by-step instructions included in the email. Nmbrs has also created a clear, clickable demo to further assist your employees.
On the Nmbrs support page, you will find a clear explanation and step-by-step instructions. If you run into any issues, we are happy to help.
Subject: Make sure you can still log in to Nmbrs after 1 July 2026
Dear colleague,
As of 1 July 2026, the way you log in to Nmbrs may change. Nmbrs is the platform where you can find your payslip every month. From that date onwards, you will need an additional step besides your password to confirm your identity. This is called two-step verification, or 2FA.
You are probably already familiar with this from your bank or DigiD. It works the same way: you log in with your password and then confirm with a code on your phone or via an app. You only need to set this up once; after that, it will work automatically.
Good to know
Have you already set up Visma Connect two-step verification? Then, as of 13 April 2026, the system will ask for a verification code when logging in to Nmbrs. If you no longer have access to your authenticator app, you can request a recovery code via this form. Nmbrs’ support department will then send you a backup code that allows you to log in again and reset 2FA.
What do you need to do?
Have you not yet set up two-step verification? In this article, you can read how to do this before 1 July 2026. The article also contains a clickable demo that guides you step by step through the process.
The easiest and fastest way to set up two-step verification is by using a laptop.
Please note
You will receive an email from Visma (do.not.reply@mail.connect.visma.com). This is correct; communication is sent from this email address. Please also check your spam folder.
